Industrial Manufacturing UK Carbon Reduction Commitment (UK CRC)
Compliance with the UK Carbon Reduction Commitment is easier with SGS emissions verification services. Call us now to find out more.

The UK Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) is a carbon budget scheme introduced to widen current emission trading schemes to include non-energy intensive businesses and public sector organizations with high electricity consumption.
The objective of the CRC is to reduce emissions – the government target is an 80 percent reduction by 2050 (against a 1990 baseline). There is a financial incentive to reduce emissions by pricing carbon and putting a cap on the allowances available.
Our experienced teams help you to comply with the CRC. We can assess your carbon footprint and provide you with the documentation you need for reporting, annual forecasting of emissions, and performance benchmarking. We can also monitor your status under the scheme on a regular basis to ensure continuing compliance.
To ensure you are benefiting from the CRC, other ways we can help include clarifying relevant emissions under the scheme, training for your team and developing a carbon reduction strategy. We can also help companies seeking benefits through the application of early action metrics and combine work around CRS with energy efficiency and ISO16001.
As the global leader in greenhouse gas emissions verification, our climate change services team will be able to help you. Call us today to find out more about monitoring and ensuring your carbon reduction commitment compliance.
